A bear hunt?

I often liken life to that famous story - 'we're going on a bear hunt' because, simply, you cant avoid it, you have to go through it. So I thought I'd have a go at adapting the original. I probably could have done better with more time, but it didn't feel like it needed more effort - its just a thought but I'd happily take ideas for better verses......
